Tango Triathlon Team begins a Proud Tradition
The charlieuniformtango Triathlon team began a tradition of domination on Sunday with a strong effort from all team members in the 2008 Stonebridge Triathlon in McKinney Texas. The morning found team members, Alex Campos, David Hannah, and rookie Jake Kluge concerned about water temperature, but as it turns out it was a great day for a swim. The 750m swim was conquered by Alex Campos, the strongest swimmer, in 13 minutes, while David and Jake finished with times of 17 minutes and 19 minutes respectively. Following the swim, the team headed out for a 12 mile bike ride, followed by a 3 mile run. Alex campos finished first in the ride with an avg speed of 20 miles and hour, while Jake finished the run first, running each mile at a 10 minute pace. Alex won the overall time, logging a total Triathlon time of 1 hour 28 minutes, Jake finished with a time of 1 hour 34 minutes, and David Hannah with 1 hour 51 minutes. The olympic triathlon was legged by the Tango Ringer, Richard Hannah, who completed the mile swim, 24 mile bike, and 6 mile run in 2 hours 51 minutes.
The team now begins training for the Halloween themed Monster Triathlon to be held in Keller Tx at the end of October.
